Swing thoughts are all well and good but who has the time to think during the swing. The whole thing is over in two-tenths of a second! The best thoughts are the ones that lead  to understanding how the golf club moves and which swing inputs will provide the best results. 

Swing feelings are important for building the muscle memory of a successful golf swing on the training tee. Previewing a shot in your mind before hitting the ball recalls the feelings and muscle memories which guide your swing, bringing calmness and confidence to your game.

The golf course architect has designed each hole as a puzzle that the player must solve while standing on the tee. Visual tricks and hazards are added to complicate the puzzle. The architect must also allow for widely different skill levels from beginner to pro.

Beginners have a tall order to learn the game and it's unique etiquette. But once a player is hooked on the challenge, the only obstacle to success is  frustration felt when the results don't match their expectations.
